We are incredibly proud that our club and coaching programme was featured in the Love Tennis photo shoot for Tennis Northern! Being selected to represent community tennis is a great reflection of the positive energy and passion that our players and coaches bring to the court.

The Love Tennis campaign celebrates connection, enjoyment, development, and community. Everybody looks great in their pictures!

This year, Love Tennis 2026 will be on 13th September and run from 10AM-2PM!

Brown's Bay Racquets Club received a $3500 grannt from NZ Community Trust (NZCT), which went towards new tennis balls for club champs, inter-club matches and social competitions.

Level-Up Tennis got involved through helping showcase this grant-giving programme by including our players with lots of tennis balls at Junior Club Night! We are committed to our club and ensuring that our coaching continues to support players.

We had an awesome week with all players bringing great energy and enthusiasm to each day!

Each day featured a mixture of drills, technical focuses, match play and games. We always aim for players to challenge themselves whilst having fun.

We’re proud of the progress everyone made and look forward to seeing everyone continue their tennis coaching!

To celebrate the holidays and the final Junior Club Night for 2025, Level Up Tennis and Browns Bay Racquets Club hosted a Junior Christmas Party! 

Each year, one junior is gifted $1,000 from the Thuten Kesang's Tennis Scholarship to award their commitment, passion and growth in their tennis career. Presented by Gwen Kesang, Haruto Amano was our winner this year! Congratulations!

We're looking forward to seeing all of our junior members back for more coaching at Club Night in 2026. 

Level Up Tennis at Browns Bay Racquets Club hosted Tennis New Zealand's annual Love Tennis event so that our local community could come along and give tennis a go!

We had a free sausage sizzle, colouring-in competition, hit the target with free Sal's pizza vouchers, face-painting, club membership discounts, lolly scramble, hamper prizes and a raffle of two free tennis racquets!

Our team volunteered for this open day event, giving free coaching to the community. Additionally, our Coach Ben played an exhibition match against, Aishi Das, who is a rising New Zealand women's professional tennis player.

During the Term 1 school break, we ran our week-long Junior Holiday Camp! We had over 25 students register, ranging in a variety of ages and stages of tennis. Each day focused on a new theme to improve ability, build confidence, and develop a greater love for the game.

We managed to endure the high winds from Cyclone Tam across the week. We know that these winds would have helped our students to develop their footwork and quick reactions. Additionally, indoor activities such as a tennis trivia quiz, indoor tennis and coordination games supported their knowledge and movement.

As an end of season celebration, Level Up Tennis hosted a fun and social team tournament for members of Browns Bay Racquets Club.We had 10 teams of three/four players register, and with the fast-paced nature of the game, everyone had a blast! 

Congrats to Team Super Women (Nicole, Isabella and Lucy) who were the winners of our tournament, and won a free 30 minute private lesson with Chris Canady! With the success and positive feedback after this tournament, we will be surely hosting it again in the future, so stay tuned!
